A country house hotel, spa and immaculate 230-acre estate just outside Harrogate. I have been recommended as a celebrant at Rudding Park several times— it remains one of the most polished, welcoming wedding venues in Yorkshire, and the team are an absolute joy to work alongside.
A magnificent Victorian Gothic Revival mansion overlooking the sea at Saltburn-by-the-Sea — designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, built from local ironstone in the 1860s, and now operating exclusively as a wedding venue. I'm a recommended celebrant at Rushpool, and as a Saltburn local myself, it's a particular joy to deliver ceremonies on home turf in such a striking and atmospheric setting.
Hackness Grange nr Scarborough
A peaceful country house hotel in Forge Valley, just outside Scarborough — perfect for couples wanting somewhere rural, intimate and beautifully understated, with the North York Moors on the doorstep.
A Gothic Revival mansion offering exclusive-use weddings — atmospheric, intimate and quite unlike anywhere else in Yorkshire. I'm a recommended celebrant at Thicket Priory, and every ceremony I've delivered here has felt genuinely cinematic.
Wentbridge House, West Yorkshire
A Georgian country house hotel set in 20 acres just off the A1. I'm a recommended celebrant at Wentbridge — beautiful gardens for outdoor moments, generous indoor spaces for whatever the weather throws at us, and a warmth and personality I never tire of.
Scarborough Spa
The grand Victorian Spa on Scarborough seafront — extraordinary sea views, a magnificent room and a real sense of occasion. An iconic Yorkshire venue for couples who'd like a generous helping of coastal drama with their day.
A 16th-century, ivy-clad mansion set in 20 acres of South Yorkshire countryside — Grade II* listed, brimming with history, and the very first venue in South Yorkshire to be licensed for civil weddings. I'm the recommended celebrant at Whitley Hall, and I love every ceremony I deliver here — the team are fab, the rooms are characterful, and the gardens do the rest.
Carlton Towers
A dramatic Victorian Gothic Revival country house, available for exclusive-use weddings. The long sweeping approach, the Great Hall and the grounds make it unforgettable — a regular venue for me and one I'm always delighted to return to.
Hazel Gap Barn, Welbeck Estate
A character-filled barn on the Welbeck Estate, nestled in beautiful countryside on the Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire border. Rustic, warm and full of soul — a favourite for couples who want their wedding to feel relaxed and rooted.
Over five years and 200+ ceremonies, I've had the great privilege of working at some of Yorkshire, Teesside and the North East's most beautiful wedding venues — from grand country houses to coastal landmarks, intimate Gothic priories to character-filled barns. Every one has its own atmosphere and its own quirks, and I love them all.
I'm a recommended celebrant at several of these venues, and a regular at others. Whichever you've chosen — or whichever you're still considering — chances are I already know the room, the acoustics, the natural light, and the friendly faces on the team. That gives us a head start on planning and lets me offer proper, lived-in advice on the small things couples don't always think about: where guests sit best, where the photos fall, what works beautifully in the space and what doesn't.
