Wedding Celebrant at Rudding Park
Personal, beautifully-written ceremonies in the chapel and across the estate, by a celebrant who knows the venue.

Rudding Park is one of those venues that doesn't really need an introduction. The Georgian house, the grounds, the gardens, the chapel tucked away in the trees — couples come here for a reason. What I do is shape a ceremony that feels every bit as considered as the rest of the day.
A celebrant-led ceremony at Rudding Park gives you something a register-office route can't: a service written entirely around the two of you, in the place that means most to you on the estate.
I've had the pleasure of leading several ceremonies in the chapel — and the team at Rudding Park have kindly recommended me to couples more than once. It's a venue I know well, and a venue I love working in.
The chapel at Rudding Park is one of the most quietly beautiful ceremony spaces in Yorkshire. The light through the windows, the stonework, the sense of history — it asks for a ceremony that matches it. Not a script. Not a template. A service written for you, delivered with the warmth and pace the room deserves.
I work with the chapel — the way sound carries, the way couples and guests move through the space, the moments to slow down, the moments to lift. By the time we've finished planning, you'll know exactly what's coming on the day, and so will I.
Two couples I've worked with in the chapel at Rudding Park have been kind enough to put their thoughts in writing afterwards. Their words tell you more about working with me than mine ever could.
I'm Richard — North Yorkshire-based, NOCN Qualified Celebrant, fully insured and DBS-checked, with over 200 ceremonies behind me across Yorkshire and the North East.
Many years as a Supporting Artist in film and television, fifteen as a professional singer — they're the reason a Rudding Park chapel feels familiar from the moment I step in. The voice carries. The pace is right. The room is held.
We meet for a free first call to see how we'd work together.
If you'd like to go ahead, a deposit secures me in your diary.
Closer to the day, we have a longer conversation — your story, the people, the mood you want.
I write the ceremony from scratch, send it to you, and we revise until every sentence is yours.
On the day, I arrive early, work with your photographer and the Rudding Park team, and deliver the ceremony warmly and at the right pace.

A wedding ceremony with me is £445, all-inclusive — from our first call through to the ceremony itself, including every draft in between. Travel to Rudding Park is included; Harrogate is comfortably within the 100-mile zone from Saltburn-by-the-Sea, so there's no mileage charge to add.
If you're getting married at Rudding Park and you'd like a ceremony as personal as the venue, get in touch. The first call is free, with no expectation that it leads anywhere.
