Wedding planning is stressful, and when you push all details aside, the celebrant is the one person you need to depend on. This person gets to deliver your ceremony in front of all of your family & friends. This is the moment. We couldn’t have wished for a better celebrant for our wedding day. Richard was amazing from start to finish, from our first email contact, planning meetings right the way through to the ceremony - he was professional, reliable, quick to respond, attentive to detail, captured our story perfectly and was even in control of our ceremony on the day. He helped the groom make last-minute changes to the venue, kept him calm and collected whilst his nerves built waiting at the altar and addressed the room with confidence and style. He mixed the perfect level of humour with the significance of a ceremony. We’ve watched the video back time and time again and just love every second. We would book Richard again in a heartbeat if we were to do it all over again. It’s more than a job for Richard; his heart is in it, and he cares deeply. He went above and beyond for us. What a five-star gent Richard is! We were initially drawn to him because of his name being so to the point! We figured we might have the same sense of humour, and we were absolutely correct! Richard was so easy to work with, responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our ceremony was what we hoped for. It was a dream! Many of our guests commented on how funny and engaging Richard was, and our wedding coordinator was full of high praise for his service and ease to work with. I knew exactly who I was looking for when I reached out for a celebrant. I wanted someone with presence, who would speak clearly and with feeling and someone who could manage a potentially feisty crowd. That is exactly who I got in Richard. But I also got someone who was 100% trustworthy, who made the effort to understand what we wanted, who wrote a beautiful, sincere service that totally reflected who we are and our 20 year journey.

Our guests all commented on how personal, sincere, touching and funny our service was. And Richard had a total grip of the proceedings from the moment he arrived to the moment he left. He made sure everyone knew what they were doing beforehand so the service was flawless.

I had a good feeling about Richard after only a few brief emails, and as soon as we were chatting away on a video call I knew he would be performing our ceremony! Richard just radiates good vibes, he’s so warm and friendly, he’s one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met and one of our suppliers my husband said it’s a shame we won’t see him again! Maybe a renewal one day! My wedding planning was chaotic but throughout I knew the ceremony plans were in good hands and I trusted Richard wholeheartedly, even when I sent my vows only days before and last minute changes - everything was organised and printed for reading and keepsakes and it was seamless - our guests all commented on how wonderful the ceremony was and how brilliant Richard was!

Morning Richard,

Firstly I just wanted to apologise for not getting to speak with you straight after the ceremony we we’re just whooshed away into a bubble of excitement. Onto my second point I wanted to thank you for doing such a fantastic job. 

Honestly all my guests afterwards were saying how brilliant and effortless the ceremony and vows ran and how welcoming and professional you were. 

You were just so at ease and in turn made both myself and Stephen at ease. I was smiling from ear to ear throughout and you just hit the nail on the head with every little detail and word we said thanks to you. Also the poems where so touching and suited us both perfectly. As soon as our photos arrive we will be sending a much more warmer thanks your way.

We had Richard Wood as our celebrant for our barn wedding. He wrote and read out a wonderful little piece about how my husband and I got together. He wrote beautiful vows for us and selected a wonderful reading for our Aunty to read.

Richard arrived early, got us all organised and delivered the whole ceremony efficiently and beautifully.

He is such a lovely person, nothing was too much trouble. Richard looked very smart, immaculate and very dapper.

He got the whole wedding party revved-up, involved and motivated. If you are looking for a celebrant, don't go to anyone else, book Richard, and you will have a great ceremony.

We both wanted to thank you for overseeing our wedding day, which really did exceed our expectations and was the most special of days that we had hoped for. Your preparations leading up to the ceremony were exemplary, and the guidance you provided on the content, timing and delivery of the service meant that everything included was bespoke and personal to us, our families, and friends.

Specific acknowledgment of members of our families who are no longer with us, and in particular my nephew, Andrew, was noted by our family as being especially poignant.

Our guests have commented on what was included in the order of service and in particular the poems you recited, and a number have asked if we could share them.

​We had our wedding on 16th of September 2022 and just wanted to say how amazing Richard was and services he provided to us.

He made our day so special and personalised it couldn't be any better. From start he went above and beyond to make it about us. We had our zoom calls where he found out about us, about how we met and also suggested a beautiful love lock ceremony which made it so magical. We loved everything about it.

He also did a singing after ceremony which our guests enjoyed it so much!!!! They even thought it's a record player haha 😄 I can highly recommend his service as I know he can make it magical and special for future brides and grooms.

Well where do we start!

We were let down by not having an official registrar, however this ended up being a blessing in disguise as we ended up meeting Richard and he delivered a ceremony filled with love, laughter and remembering those not here.

People have not stopped talking about the ceremony, many thanks to Richard for the meticulous planning and the thought which went into the readings.

Richard is an absolute star! When we were looking for a celebrant who would host our wedding ceremony, we talked to a few different people but Richard really understood us and talked us through everything. He was not only an outstanding celebrant but a genuinely nice guy who helped us when planning our wedding and offered help when we wanted to write our own vows, even bringing a copy of them to the ceremony in case we forgot ours.

We just wanted to say that the ceremony he did for us was excellent! Every guest said how incredible it was and how perfectly it matched us.

If you need a celebrant, Richard is definitely a superstar and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Richard was our celebrant for a vow renewal in Aug 2022, from the first time we engaged with him earlier in the year, until the day of the ceremony, he was so helpful, friendly and involved  with our event. 

He really took on board what we told him, to craft a custom ceremony that was tailored to us and felt so personal and heart felt. He helped us create custom vows that were so far above what we could have done alone and made them so special.
