Naming Ceremony
A Naming Ceremony is a beautiful ceremony for a child of any age and a lovely alternative to a christening. Naming ceremonies are also a wonderful way to welcome an adopted child or stepchild into your family and circle of freinds.
The ceremony gives parents the opportunity to make promises, and declare their commitment and love to their child in front of friends and family in a happy and joyous celebration which can be held anywhere, at any time and include anything you wish for.

Naming ceremonies can be traditional with religious beliefs; modern and include tales of parenthood; unconventional, heart-warming, funny. Or a beautiful blend of everything.

A Naming ceremony also gives the opportunity for siblings to show their love for their brother or sister. They can have a very important role within the ceremony.
Many parents often take the opportunity to show love to a special family member or friend who plays a vital part in their child’s life.
This can be done by including a special reading or a poem about them or they could be chosen to make vows and promises to your child.

That's the joy of naming ceremonies, they are created just for you and your child to reflect your family.
We will have an initial meeting to discuss any ideas you may have for the Naming Ceremony and what you would like to include. This meeting can be at the venue or in these current conditions, via Zoom.

I will make lots of suggestions and gather details about your child and your family. From there I start to weave everything together to create the ceremony. I will then e-mail the first draft of the ceremony to you. We can tweak, amend and add, until it is perfect for you.

On the day of the ceremony, your child will receive a ceremony certificate and a souvenir ceremony script.
