Why choose a Celebrant for my wedding?

By separating the legal registration from your wedding ceremony, you are free to choose the time, the venue and the content of your ceremony.  You are able to include family members, poems,  music, to make it a truly unique service.

Can we meet to discuss our ceremony?

Of course.  These days with the use of Zoom or FaceTime etc. we meet at any convenient time. spending as much time as we need to make your ceremony perfect for you

We were married during the pandemic without any guests, can we have a blessing when we are able, with all our family and friends?

Absolutely - it would be a lovely way to celebrate your marriage.  I can work with you and suggest how to create a wonderful, memorable ceremony.

Are there still any legal requirements if I have a Wedding Celebrant to conduct our ceremony?

For most marriages or civil partnerships you must give 28 days notice at your registry office. You will both need to pay a small fee when you attend and the notice will be publicly displayed in the registry office for 28 days. When you attend the registry office to register the marriage or civil partnership, you will again pay a small fee, then you will repeat two vows in the presence of two witnesses.
